I have been going to Côté’s Gifted Touch for massage therapy regularly for over two months now for chronic muscle tightness which has caused a lot of pain, especially in my legs and probably was the cause of a torn meniscus. When I wasn't getting better months after surgery to repair the problem and went to physical therapy for the opposite leg which was by then compensating and had ultrasound treatments, I asked one of the physical therapists if she thought massage would help me. Her response was that with all my muscle tightness, she would certainly recommend it. I was having so much pain around the knee area of both legs and some days, I could barely walk. I also had multiple back surgeries over the years and tightness from those surgeries as well, which didn't help my situation. I chose Brian at Côté’s Gifted Touch because I wanted someone who could do Myofascial release, which was something I had done at physical therapy. I am glad I chose Brian because he is very knowledgeable at what he does. I've seen a physical rehabilitation doctor since going to Brian, and she told me to continue massage therapy. She also said with my problems, it will take time and not to expect drastic results too soon. I am being patient, though it's not my greatest virtue, and I'm doing stretching at home to help speed up the process. Brian is very considerate and respectful and has helped me a lot already. I am definitely seeing results after going through getting rid of muscle knots and residual tightness. I would recommend Brian to anyone who needs help with muscle pain related problems. If I had gone to see him sooner, I probably wouldn't have torn the meniscus to begin with because it didn't happen from an injury to it. It happened after a few weeks of muscle tightness in the whole leg. I never would have related it to so many muscles being tight at the same time. I always attributed any leg muscle problems to my back surgeries, but after the physical therapist told me that everything is connected, I gave Brian a call and it's the best thing I've done for my problems. If I had called him sooner, the arthritis in both knees probably wouldn't have become so bad in such a short time either. This was from tight muscles pulling and causing added stress on the bones, which x-rays showed had happened. Brian is very attentive to client concerns and how he/she is feeling from treatment to treatment.
